Today's party went differently than yesterdays. I ended up cheating a bit, but in a different way. I opted for a serving of fruit salad. I have to say I felt better about that choice. I understand the purpose of phase 1 is to eliminate our bodies addiction to carbs, so cheating makes no sense, but I intend to stick with it for four weeks, not the recommended two so I'm not too concerned about that. I figure there will be two consecutive weeks at some point so I'm not sweating a small (emphasis on the small) cheat a couple times this weekend.
I realized today that I am averaging a loss of just about 2 lbs a day. If the weight keeps falling off like this I may be tempted to keep up with phase 1 for the two month maximum allowance. I doubt it though. I already gave into temptation a few times, I think I'm going to use the new carb introduction as a reward, if you will.
