I survived!

So last night I had some pretty big temptations and honestly it was a lot easier than I would have imagined. First I went to Dunkin Donuts. They had both chocolate and vanilla cream filled donuts. Under normal circumstances I would have bought the half dozen or so that they had left, eaten two and frozen the rest. I rarely find them and they are my favorites by far. In fact I dare to say they are the only donuts I would set out to buy.

Then Gwen and I went into WalMart and walked down the ice cream isle. I really have learned how to look passed the isles in the grocery store. There was only one thing that caught my eye and that was easily rejected.

I've never made it this far in a diet. I think a couple of things are keeping me going. First off, this was thought out and planned before beginning. Secondly, I am committed to losing weight. I have been committed for some time, but now I have a plan I am confident in and am sure will work. Lastly, the South Beach diet has been easy to stick to because of it's short term limits. I know soon I can allow semi-sweet chocolate and popcorn back in. Ooooh how I miss them both. I know about how long it will be and it's much easier than a more Atkinsy diet.

I know it's breaking the rules but I've been weighing myself once a day. Personally, I need the constant motivation to get me through these couple weeks. I'm down 5 pounds so far. I'll take it :)
