Running + Uncoordination = Bad

Wednesday night when I ran the 5K I twisted my ankle. I went easy on it on Thursday and it pretty much stopped hurting. I have been trying to run every other day so I went out yesterday. We weren't even running much, it was like jog, walk, jog, walk. As soon as I started I could feel my ankle, but I decided it was bearable. After we got to the half mile marker I was like, um no... not an option. My leg was visibly swelling with each step I took. We took the kids to the playground instead.

I took an Advil at the park and it didn't even take the edge off the pain. When I got home I iced it. That helped a little bit. It still hurts a good deal this morning. I plan to take a week off running and go from there. This really stinks. I felt like I was finally making progress. I'm pretty sure I have a minor high ankle strain or sprain. Not cool.

On the diet front things aren't going much better. I found the most delightful frozen cupcakes yesterday. At 150 calories and 15 sugar, I had three. Eeeek! It's been extremely challenging trying to teach myself self control at 25. It's been a great lesson to me to help my kids learn self control at a young age.
